MAISONS & CITÉS
Maisons & Cités moves into its new head office in Douai

Maisons & Cités, a player in the social housing sector, has officially moved into its new head office in Douai.
The building, with a total surface area of 7,000 m², keeps its promises in terms of energy performance and quality of use, rewarded respectively by a BEPOS level E3/C1 and Well Silver certification. Photovoltaic panels, a panoramic terrace and green spaces surround the modular workplaces, which include concentration bubbles, telephone boxes and collaborative spaces.

Our team worked on the complete digitisation of the building, including the audiovisual and Smart Workplace fit-out, following the fitting-out of the spaces by Kardham‘s Studio, Furniture and Design & Build teams.

Audiovisual equipment

An audiovisual fit-out assignment in three phases: recommendations, equipment and installation in various venues dedicated to specific activities, requiring equipment adapted to these activities :

  • Meeting room : projection and sound systems, interactive screens, cameras and microphones to facilitate live broadcasts and remote connections
  • Auditorium : sophisticated projection and sound systems, appropriate lighting for larger-scale presentations
  • TV studio : studio-specific audio mixing and lighting systems, professional cameras, backdrops and sets for video production
  • Boardroom : high-quality presentation and sound systems, meeting tables equipped with integrated, easy-to-use gooseneck microphones, available in a turnkey ergonomic space

In addition to the audiovisual infrastructure mentioned above, we have also created 3 digital signage broadcasting points in public areas, ranging from the Directoire reception area, the café-coworking area and the reception hall.
In a tertiary context, it is important to include internal communication channels for disseminating different types of message, such as news, events, objectives and results, and training. This information can be more specific to the space: signage to guide visitors/employees, agendas to introduce meetings, daily menus for the inter-company restaurant (RIE).

Smart Workplace

Connected luminaires, based on presence sensors, indicate the occupancy status of the premises in real time. At the same time, illuminated displays on tablets positioned in front of the meeting rooms provide information on scheduled meetings.

Peter, Digital Project Manager.

“Our installation in Douai for the social landlord Maisons et Cités is based on the implementation of an innovative solution to optimise the booking of meeting rooms. The solution is based on presence sensors discreetly installed in the ceiling. These sensors are able to detect the presence of individuals in meeting rooms and transmit this data instantaneously to a dedicated server. This server then relays the information via strategically placed light strips and/or 10-inch tablets. This fast, efficient synchronisation enables real-time management of room availability, providing a fluid, optimal user experience for bookings.”
